Darcy has all the attributes that I look for in a Gypsy Horse...overall beauty, balance, presence, correct conformation, lots of silky hair and movement.  She has good depth of body, a beautiful shoulder and a compact build with proper cob type.  Darcy has a perfect little "pint-pot" head topped off with little ears.  Add to that her beautiful silver dapple color and wonderful pedigree and there you have it...A perfect little girl!  And what a little poser!  This girl can really use herself when she moves too!   We couldn't be more pleased!

Darcy stands quietly for the farrier.  I can do all her vaccinations by myself with out any hassle at all.  She loves her baths and will stand quietly all day for grooming.  She's pretty unflappable, I believe she's one of those horses that would quietly follow you through a fire.  This is so important to me.  I broke my back and all my ribs a couple of years ago, and I trust Darcy not to hurt me or pull on me.

Update!  Darcy just spent 3 weeks at the Del Mar Fair.  What a trooper!!!  She loaded quietly in the trailer, and never made a peep all the way down there.  When we got there she unoaded quietly and walked right to her stall.  She was amazing with all the loud noises, bands, crowds and other horses.  She was the quietest horse there and she's just a two year old!  While we normally wouldn't do this with one of our horses, we felt that the public needed more exposure to the breed and she did the breed proud!  She showed everyone what a Gypsy Horse should be!  We are so proud of her!

The sun was setting quickly, and there's some eye glare, but it really showed off her stature and depth of body.
